Separating & deleting user accounts

You have several options available to delete, remove access, or separate a user’s Savology account from your firm. Read through the different options available below:

Separating a user account (retain user access)

Separating an account removes the user from your firm, but does NOT remove the user’s access to their Savology account. These individuals are moved to a very limited version and retain access to their base financial plan. Here’s how to separate a user’s account:

  • Navigate to the User Admin > Users and find the account you want to separate from the active user list.
  • Click on the three-dot menu to the right of the user's account and select Separate user.
  • In the pop-up modal, select Separate to confirm you want to separate the account.

Deactivating a user account (revoke user access)

Deactivating an account will completely revoke the user’s access to their Savology account and plan. Deactivated accounts convert to transferrable plans, are still associated with your firm, and show up on your active user list.

  • Navigate to the User Admin > Users, find the account you want to delete, and click on their name or email address to visit the user details page.
  • In the Action drop-down menu at the top-right of the screen, select the Remove user access option.
  • In the pop-up modal, select Remove Access to confirm you want to remove the user’s account.

Deleting a deactivated or advisor-created account

You can only fully delete accounts/plans that have either been deactivated or that were set up through the Create plan tool AND haven't yet been transferred or accepted by a user.

  • Navigate to the User Admin > Users, find the account you want to delete, and click on their name or email address to visit the user details page.
  • In the Action drop-down menu at the top-right of the screen, select the Delete user option.
  • In the pop-up modal, confirm that you want to delete the account by clicking Delete.
