Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an industry-standard security measure that enhances account protection by requiring users to provide multiple forms of verification before accessing a system or application. It is designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, even if a password is compromised.

How Does MFA Work?

Savology MFA operates by requiring authentication from two categories:

  1. Something You Know – A password
  2. Something You Have – A security token

Savology complies with financial industry best practices by requiring administrators to complete MFA per device every 30 days.

How to Enable Force MFA for Users:

In addition to requiring administrators to complete MFA every 30 days per device, admins are now able to force MFA for their users as well.

  • While signed into your administrator account > Navigate to Manage Account > Settings Tab > Scroll down to Other Features > Change 'Force user MFA' to Yes > Save your changes
  • Users will now be required to complete MFA upon Savology login

Implementing MFA is a crucial step in safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring secure access for all users.
