Why Move a User?
There are a number of reasons you may choose to move a user from a connected organization to your own advisory firm. The most likely cases are client's reaching out for more involved financial planning and guidance, a churned employee that could be a prospect or client, or someone you proactively connected with an employee who fits your firms advisory model and is looking for personalized guidance.
In any case, you now need to move the employee from their respective Connected Organiztion into one of your firms groups, or under your firms immediate client list.
How to move a user
- In your admin account, navigate to the Organizations page and select the connected Org from the list
- Go to the Users & Groups tab, expand the Users accordion, and find the user in the list of active users
- After locating the client in the list of active users, click the three-dot menu next to their name and select Migrate Organization
- In the confirmation modal, you may optionally select a group you've created under your Advisor org from the drop-down menu. Otherwise, you can select No Group if they don't need to be assigned to a specific group.
- When finished, select Confirm and the user account will now now be available in the active users of your Advisor org
