Highlighting Action Items, Modules, & Literacy Courses

Similar to creating your own custom activities, you can also highlight a Savology Action Item, Module, and/or Literacy Course for a client. Doing so allows you to notify clients of Savology action items and other resources you recommend they focus on and complete first.

What happens when Highlighting

  • An email is sent to the client notifying them that an Action Item, Module, or Literacy Course has been recommended by their advisor
  • In the client’s Savology account, recommended actions and tools are added to the top of their homepage dashboard and can also be viewed from the My Advisor page
  • Highlighted items that appear on a client’s homepage dashboard will replace Savology’s standard Next Steps section and the Onboarding Checklist (if applicable).

Highlighting items for a client

  • In your admin account, navigate to User Admin > Users where you will see a full list of active users.
  • Search for and find the client in the active user table and either click on their name or email address to view their plan and account details.
  • Click on the Engagement tab, where you can review and highlight different Action Items, Modules, or Literacy Courses.
  • Select one of the menu buttons to visit a particular section, or scroll down the page to visit the appropriate section.
  • In the list of Action Items, Modules, or Literacy Courses, select the bookmark icon next to the action or tool you want to highlight.
  • In the confirmation modal that appears, select Recommend to highlight the specific action or tool.

Important notes on Highlighting

  • You can only highlight one item from each category for a client. For example, you can highlight one Action Item, one Module, AND one Literacy Course at the same time, but you cannot highlight two Action Items at the same time.
  • To remove a recommendation, select the bookmark icon next to the already highlighted item.
  • When highlighting a Literacy Course, every lesson from that course will be marked as recommended. Individual lessons cannot be highlighted alone.
